'Lethal Weapon' returns as FOX television series

LOS ANGELES, Ca. - It's one of the most successful action film franchises in history, and now, "Lethal Weapon" is back as an explosive new television series.

"Lethal Weapon" premieres Wednesday night on FOX 5 Atlanta at 8 p.m., and stars Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford as Murtaugh and Riggs, the mismatched pair of cops who eventually become a dynamic crime-solving team.  The stars walked the carpet at a star-studded premiere in Los Angeles, and told Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken that this is a modern story inspired by the original film series, which first hit theatres back in 1987.
