ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - You submitted your nominations for Georgia's most exceptional high school teachers, and we narrowed down the list to five very deserving finalists. Now, it's time to meet the educators in the running for this year's HIGH 5 For Teachers contest.
FOX 5 is proud to once again partner with Montlick & Associates for the annual contest, which recognizes Georgia high school teachers. Each of the five finalists wins $500 from Montlick & Associates, and viewers will vote for the one they think is most deserving of an additional $2,500 for his or her school.
Voting begins once our profiles of all five teachers have aired on Good Day Atlanta. So be sure to watch each one, and then vote for your favorite!
Our first finalist is Adrienne Edwards of Maynard H. Jackson High School in Atlanta, who stepped into the spotlight to build a thriving theater department from the barest of stages.
