Good Day 'in flight' week: All abilities welcome at iFly Atlanta

It’s a place that literally has people floating on air – and now, indoor skydiving facility iFLY Atlanta is making sure everyone gets the chance to know what that feels like.

iFLY created modern indoor skydiving nearly two decades ago, thanks to technology using vertical wind tunnels upon which thrill-seekers can float (or “fly”).

The company opened its Georgia location in November of 2016, choosing a spot right across the street from the new SunTrust Park in Cobb County. 

In late April, iFLY Atlanta held its first-ever All Abilities Night, designed for people with physical and mental disabilities to experience indoor skydiving.  It’s something that’s been done at other iFLY locations around the world, with the goal of making the dream of flight a reality for everyone.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at iFLY Atlanta, learning more about how people of all abilities can “learn to fly” here in Metro Atlanta.
