Good Day cooks Cuban-style at new Mojitos location
PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. - It’s one of the most popular restaurants in Norcross, bringing a taste of Cuba to the city’s historic downtown district. Now, Mojitos Cuban American Bistro is growing to a second location, and bringing along Mama’s classic Cuban recipes to please a whole new group of diners.
Mojitos Cuban American Bistro recently opened its new location at The Forum on Peachtree Parkway, located in Peachtree Corners. The original Mojitos, located in downtown Norcross, opened about a decade ago, and has a become a favorite in the area for its unique menu and live entertainment. Menu highlights include appetizers like stuffed plantains, yuca fries, and tamales, and entrees including Pollo a la Plancha (chicken breast fillet) and Ropa Vieja. Mojitos remains a family-owned business, and while Mama can often be found cooking in the kitchen, the family also plays in a band and entertains patrons with live Cuban music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has been known to pack away some Rabo Encendido (spicy ox-tail) and multiple baskets of plantain chips during “business lunches” in the past, and didn’t want to miss a chance to meet the family behind Mojitos. So he spent the morning at the new Peachtree Corners location enjoying a taste of Cuba right here in the Peach State.
