ATLANTA - Atlanta Hotel Presents 2nd Annual Festival of Trees: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas -- especially in the expansive atrium of the Embassy Suites Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park. For the second year in a row, the hotel is decking its halls with festive trees, all in the name of charity.
The second annual Festival of Trees takes place November 21 through January 2, and features twenty-five trees decorated by local non-profit organizations. Visitors can then "vote" for their favorite tree by donating money toward that particular organization. Each group gets to keep the money raised, and the tree with the most donations also wins a $1,000 gift from Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurants. Last year, the festival raised more than $30,000 for eighteen different non-profits. The display is free and open to the public.
