Double The Doughnuts! Atlanta's Sublime Doughnuts Opens Another Location: Since it opened in West Midtown in 2008, Sublime Doughnuts has become one of the top doughnut shops not just in Atlanta, but in the country.  Now, fans have another option to enjoy Sublime's delectable menu, thanks to a newly-opened second location in Druid Hills.

The newest Sublime Doughnuts is located at 2566 Briarcliff Road NE in Atlanta, and opened in late April and is now a 24-7 operation.  Owner Kamal Grant says the new shop will offer the same menu as the original location, which means guests can choose from such famed doughnuts as the A-Town Cream and Orange Dream Star.  Staffers hope to take advantage of the area's large student population (Emory University is right around the corner), not to mention hospital workers and local residents and businesspeople.  Grant says this new location is just the beginning of the company's expansion into other Atlanta-area neighborhoods.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning at the new Sublime Doughnuts, learning more about the secret of its success and, naturally, doing a little taste-testing!

Burgers With Buck Cape Dutch:  What happens when South Africa, meets America with a side of Belgium...all on one plate?

You get the Peri-Peri Burger from Cape Dutch on Cheshire Bridge Road in Atlanta, with a side pomme frites.

It doesn't take long to figure out that Cape Dutch is not a burger joint, in fact, far from it.  The space, formerly occupied by the Woodfire Grill is not a South African restaurant, but the braai concept is uniquely South African.  Braai (which rhymes with shy) is South African for a grill or a cookout, and Cape Dutch brings that outdoor social experience, indoors.

Now back to the matter at hand...the Peri-Peri Burger.  It is an eight ounce certified Angus beef pattie, with peri-peri sauce, pickled green tomato, Applewood bacon, carmelized onions, and mild cheddar cheese served on a toasted brioche bun.

I know, I know...what is peri-peri sauce, right?  It is a traditional South African sauce made from the African bird's eye chili peppers that are indigenous to the area.  It is a wonderful blend of spicy and tangy, and the perfect compliment to the burger that bears it's name, or for that matter the pomme frites, chicken wings, or just about any type of meat.

Look for Cape Dutch to start selling their house made peri-peri sauce by the bottle in the not too distant future.  At least I hope they do.
