Georgia Swarm takes aim at Toronto in East Division Semifinals
DULUTH, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - It's set to be an exciting night at Duluth's Infinite Energy Arena, as the Georgia Swarm takes aim at the Toronto Rock in the NLL (National Lacrosse League) East Division Semifinals.
The No. 2 seed Swarm (12-6) is playing in the postseason for the fourth season in a row, and has the home field advantage in tonight's game against the Rock (also 12-6). Under the direction of Head Coach Ed Comeau, the Swarm brought home a NLL World Championship cup to Atlanta in 2017 – the first time the city had celebrated a professional sports title in 22 years.
And judging from the team's record, odds are strong that the Swarm will pull in a win tonight – the team won two of three regular season games against the Rock this year, including a 14-5 victory over the team in March.
Again, the Swarm will take on the Rock tonight at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online and start at $19.
The Good Day feature team couldn't let the team take the field tonight without a little celebrating first -- so we spent the morning at the Infinite Energy Arena look back at the team's successful season so far and talking strategy for the East Division Semifinals.
