Finding spring fashion on a budget at Goodwill

We’re just a few weeks into spring — and for many of us, a new season is a great excuse to refresh our wardrobes.  But filling your closet with new finds doesn’t mean you have to rack up that credit card debt, in fact, you might be surprised just how inexpensive fresh spring looks can be.

Good Day's Paul Milliken spent the morning with our friends at Goodwill of North Georgia, getting an exclusive “spring fashion show” made up of looks pulled directly from the racks at local Goodwill stores.

Most of us are more than familiar with Goodwill — but in case you’re not, Goodwill of North Georgia includes a network of more than 60 stores in 45 North Georgia counties, all of which sell gently-used items collected at one of the organization’s more than 50 local donation centers. Money collected at the stores helps operate several area career centers, which provide job training and job placement services to local men and women looking for work.

And just in case you’re not convinced of the wide variety of items available for purchase at local Goodwill stores, last fiscal year the organization collected more than 3 million items!  And a big percentage of that is clothing, which is why Goodwill stores might just be the perfect place to build your warmer-weather wardrobe.

Paul spent the morning at the Goodwill store at Old National Highway, hanging out with local stylists and models getting a look at some trendy looks perfect for the season!
