Now that Super Bowl LIII has come and gone, it’s time for North Georgians to turn their attention to another big event — Valentine’s Day!  And thankfully, a world-famous winery and resort in Braselton makes romance easy — especially when it comes to having a love affair with great food.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Château Élan Winery & Resort, an award-winning luxury destination sitting on 3,500 acres in North Georgia.  Founded by Donald and Nancy Panoz, Château Élan features an inn and conference center, multiple golf courses and restaurants, a health spa and tennis center, and — of course — the winery, which is open to visitors with several tours and tastings each week.

The winery is a popular place around Valentine’s Day, and so are the restaurants — and that’s where Executive Chef Rodney Ashley comes in.  Chef Rodney’s always a busy guy, but he’s especially busy this month, preparing for the lovebirds who flock to Château Élan Winery & Resort for a romantic date night or weekend getaway.  So Paul spent the morning with Chef Rodney, getting a look (and taste!) at how he plans to make February a memorable month for anyone who stops there for a bite to eat!
