Cable wake park offers extreme summer camps

It’s not always easy finding a place to cool down once July hits in Georgia.  But right now, one of North Georgia’s more extreme attractions is offering plenty of relief from the heat — not to mention a break from summer boredom!

Terminus Wake Park has a summer schedule packed with camps, clinics, and competitions.  In case you’ve never been, the Bartow County park is located in the LakePoint Sporting Community and features a system of cables which allows riders to wakeboard without using a boat. Along with two full-sized lakes and one smaller training lake, Terminus also features an Aqua Park, which is an inflatable water park filled with obstacles including slides, swings, and some very slippery bridges.

This summer, Terminus Wake Park is offering week-long camp sessions, which cost $350 and are open to youth ages seven to 14 years old and who are able to swim. Camps run from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and sessions continue through July 27.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has had plenty of wipeouts at Terminus Wake Park in the past and decided to spend the morning there in an attempt to improve his record
