Atlanta German restaurant hosts World Cup watch party

Grab your beer and your brats – and your lederhosen, of course!  The 2018 FIFA World Cup is well underway, and a local Atlanta restaurant will be cheering on its favorite team by serving up a literal taste of the culture.

Downtown Atlanta restaurant Der Biergarten is hosting a World Cup watch party today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as Germany takes on South Korea during the world’s most-watched sporting event.

Der Biergarten is located at 300 Marietta Street Northwest in Atlanta (next to the College Football Hall of Fame) and is inviting soccer fans to dress up in their finest German clothes and cheer on the team while enjoying specials including $5 brats and buns and $10 liter beers.  Fans should plan on arriving at the restaurant 30 minutes before the match start time (which, again, is 10 a.m.) to get seating.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken didn’t just show up 30 minutes early – he was there about two hours early!  He spent the morning at Der Biergarten getting a look at how the popular restaurant plans to celebrate its team!
