Atlanta Dream off to very strong season start

They’ve qualified for the playoffs half a dozen times, and won Eastern Conference titles in 2013, 2011, and 2010.  Now, the players of the Atlanta Dream are hoping to add to those statistics, and are off to a strong start in the 2016 season.

This season is the Dream’s ninth in the Women’s National Basketball Association.  The players brought home a win in their season opener May 14 against the San Antonio Stars, besting the opposing team by ten points.  After stumbling against the Indiana Fever, the Dream rebounded with a win against the Chicago Sky on May 22.  Right now, the Dream leads the Eastern Conference, with six wins and two losses.  Friday, the team will face a very tough opponent in the currently-undefeated Minnesota Lynx, at Philips Arena.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning practicing with the team’s players, getting a look at this season’s talent and learning a few new moves on the court, too.
