All Hail the Queen: New ruler at Medieval Times Atlanta Castle

It’s a history-making moment for Medieval Times, as a solo Queen takes the throne for the first in the company’s storied run.  And where better for that historic new leader to rule than right here in Metro Atlanta?

Medieval Times Atlanta unveiled its brand-new show in Georgia on November 9th, featuring a solo Queen for the first time.  The new show features the kind of spectacular action that’s defined the Medieval Times brand since its inception more than 30 years ago, including swordplay, jousting, and — most importantly — a four-course medieval feast for guests.

Preparations for the new show included the creation of more than 700 new costumes for the company’s nine North American castles, 200 new suits of armor for the castles’ famed knights, and extensive training for performers; for example, it takes two months of training for the Queen to learn to ride an Andalusian stallion!

Medieval Times Atlanta is located at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, in Sugarloaf Mills shopping mall.  General admission to the Dinner & Tournament is $54.95 for adults and $36.95 for kids ages 12 and under.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the Medieval Times Atlanta, meeting Her Royal Highness and getting an exclusive look at the local castle’s new show!
