'9-1-1' returns to FOX for second season

When it comes to drama, the FOX hit "9-1-1" knows how to dial it up higher and higher every week. But as the show embarks on its second season, cast members say the on-screen intensity won't only come from explosions and earthquakes.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken recently traveled to Los Angeles to sit down with returning cast member Oliver Stark and "new kid on the block," actor Ryan Guzman. Stark plays Evan "Buck" Buckley, who starts the second season heartbroken over the departure of the character played by Connie Britton in the first season. "So, you find Buck living in Abby's old apartment, so the relationship is still very much alive for him, and even though we don't have her character there physically, the kind of essence of that relationship remains and he's trying to hold on to it," Stark says.

Meanwhile, Guzman joins the cast as firefighter Eddie Diaz: "He's a veteran of the Army, Silver Star-awardee for saving a convoy and other heroic acts...He's just a stand-up guy, he comes in with no ill will, or intention to step on any toes, and he's all about the team and getting out there and doing his job." But will he step on some toes? "You're always gonna step on some toes a little bit, when you're the new guy!"
