A mother in Florida is furious after receiving calls her 9-year-old could face sexual harassment charges for writing a love note at school. It was a simple message from the fourth grader to his crush. He just wanted to let her know he liked her and that her eyes "sparkled like diamonds."

Students started to tease the young romantic and that is when school officials began threatening him with sexual harassment charges. According to the boy's mother, the school principal said it was not appropriate for the boy to be writing love notes. The boy never expressed any sexual intent in his notes and his mom insists he did nothing wrong.

"It may be something he thought was very sweet and innocent," said licensed psychologist Dr. Valerie McClain. "What needs to happen is education needs to be provided about how to relate to this young girl or how to stay away from talking to her, if that's the goal.

The mom said her son doesn't even know what sexual harassment is. The Hillsborough School District said they would file sexual harassment charge if the boy writes any more love notes.
