Windy and Wet Thursday
A cold front moving through today will bring gusty winds and another round of rain. Showers will increase through the morning - and winds will, too.

A line of heavier showers and possible thundershowers will move into northwest Georgia by late morning. Any thunderstorms are not expected to be severe.

Rain will settle across the metro area and points south for the afternoon, along with southwest winds near 20 mph with higher gusts at times.

Once the cold front passes, temperatures will begin to fall. With clearing skies tonight, temperatures will return to the more seasonable low 40s for Friday morning.

Winds today will be strong enough for a Wind Advisory south and east of Atlanta from 10am until 6pm.

And after lots of rain across far north Georgia yesterday, additional rain today is enough to leave our northernmost counties under a Flash Flood Watch until 7pm.
