Fentanyl test strips to become legal in Georgia on July 1, health officials say
Fentanyl, a powerful narcotic, is usually used to treat patients with severe chronic pain like advanced cancer patients. Health officials are saying that it is being mixed into illegal drugs. FOX 5 Atlanta Medical Team's Beth Galvin says that starting Friday, July 1, 2022, fentanyl test strips will be used as a legal way to decrease the rise of overdoses related to fentanyl-laced drugs.
