Alabama boy sets record as world's youngest premature baby to survive
Curtis means and his twin sister were born July 5, 2020 at just 21 weeks. Sadly, his sister did not survive. Curtis weighed just 420 grams --that's 14.8 ounces at birth. He spent 275 days at the neonatal intensive care unit at University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital. After nearly a year in the hospital, he was discharged on April 6.
