ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Atlanta Falcons are in the holiday spirit.
Several players gathered at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Tuesday to sing carols for patients and their families.
Even Santa joined in on the fun.
FOX 5 News spoke to Falcons offensive guard Ben Garland who said for him, events like this are what the holiday season is all about.
This is the first of three-holiday events the Atlanta Falcons will host for the community during the month of December.
And the holiday magic didn't stop there for the Falcons.
Former running back Jerious Norwood and Freddy the Falcon joined Mattress Firm volunteers and the nonprofit Foster Care Support Foundation at the Target in Roswell.
There, they filled baskets of toys for foster children in Atlanta.
Mattress Firm volunteers said the company runs six drives a year to benefit children in need and not only for toys but also for things like school supplies and clothing.
Mattress Firm is accepting new and unwrapped toy donations at all of its locations now through Sunday, Dec. 16.
