Lakers guard Lou Williams hosts basketball camp

Los Angeles Lakers guard Lou Williams is thinking about more than basketball as he hosts a basketball camp at his former high school.

"If we can get one or two guys out of here, or one or two of the girls to come out of here and be really good basketball players, we can get 5 or 6 quality people in the workforce, get 5 or 6 police officers," said Williams, "if we can get quality people in the community out of this, I think that would be a great thing for the camp."

This week Williams is hosting a camp at South Gwinnett High School in Snellville. The 12th annual event teaches basketball and life skills. Williams is bringing in speakers for the kids, including new Hawks center Dwight Howard. Williams added that's especially important given all of the current events around the country the past few weeks.

Williams is getting ready for his 11th NBA season and second in Los Angeles. He played for the Hawks from 2012-2014.
