First-year Denmark Danes fall to Northside Columbus in championship series

ROME, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - One of the best stories of the year has to be the Denmark Danes Baseball team.

The first-year school located in Forsyth County didn't even finish with a winning record in the regular season, but somehow made it all the way to the State Championship series in Rome.

Tuesday night, they played for a chance to win the school's first-ever championship.

Unfortunately, Northside Columbus took the series in the end.
