David Ragan to start 24th in Sunday's Daytona 500

Like fellow Georgia racer Chase Elliott, David Ragan usually runs strong on the big track.

In fact, he won the July race at Daytona back in 2011, but Sunday's Daytona 500 on FOX 5 Atlanta is the big one everybody wants to get double checked flags.

The 33-year-old will be starting from the 24th spot in the 38-car.

He achieved some consistency last season and hopes to keep that going but it begins with sleep.

Ragan knows to "never underestimate the importance of a good night of sleep" especially before the Daytona 500!
