Cam Newton involved in crash with Atlanta dump truck

ATLANTA - Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a collision with a dump truck in his hometown of Atlanta this week.

The good news, Newton appears to be OK.

The bad news, he wrecked his $300,000 matte black Ferrari F-12 sports car.

The wreck happened around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

It's unclear what caused the crash or who was at fault. 

According to the Atlanta Police Department, who confirmed the accident, neither party wanted to fill out a police report.
