Woman pleads guilty to manslaughter in cold case killing
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A woman recently found living in a homeless camp in Georgia has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the slaying of a man in Delaware more than 30 years ago.
Fifty-two-year-old Sandra Hartzag, who entered the plea last week, is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
Hartzag, who was found living in a homeless camp in Dalton, Georgia, in November 2015, was charged in the 1985 killing of 54-year-old Joseph Braun.
Braun was found beaten to death in his Wilmington home. His car was stolen and recovered in Philadelphia.
New Castle County police have said investigators got tips in 1999 linking a suspect to the crime. Officials said the suspect had died in 1997, but that tipsters said Hartzag, the suspect's girlfriend, was involved in the crime.
