Woman found dead outside Roswell home

Roswell police are searching for a killer after a woman was found murdered outside a home.

Investigators said it was an “obvious homicide,” but they are not sure how she was killed.

Investigators responded to a home on the 500 block of Tyson Circle when they received a 911 call from a man inside the home around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon.

“A lady was found deceased on the side of the house. Somebody from the house had found her and called 911,” said Officer Lisa Holland, Roswell Police Department.

Officer Holland said it’s unclear what the relationship was between the man who called 911 and the victim.

She said the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death of the woman in her 40s.

“It's obvious that it is a homicide, but we do not know the cause of death at this time. You can tell it was not a natural death I cannot go into the details of what the officers discovered,” said Officer Holland.

Police towed away three vehicles, a silver SUV, a pickup truck with business lettering on it and a red jeep from the home which was for sale.

Neighbor Jason Eshraghi said the home went up for sale a couple of months ago, but didn’t notice anything unusual. He told FOX 5 News a couple lived in the home.

Police said it’s unclear if the pending sale had anything to do with the murder.

Eshraghi and others in the neighborhood are hoping for a quick arrest for the murder of one their neighbors.

"Definitely, I hope they bring justice to whatever happened there, absolutely," said Eshraghi.

Late Tuesday night a representative with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said the murder victim had not yet been identified.

Roswell Police said they canvassed the neighborhood in search of eyewitnesses and any surveillance video or pictures.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Roswell Police Department.
