WATCH: Man rescues stranded driver in Atlanta flood

A Friday storm in Atlanta came and left quickly, but its effects were seen everywhere in giant spontaneous lakes that filled up in spots around the city.

In a shopping mall on Ponce de Leon across from Ponce City Market, one of these lakes trapped a driver in their car outside of a T.J. Maxx and CVS.

Thankfully a Good Samaritan appeared.

In footage taken from a distance by Atlantan Chris Scott, a stranger wades through the knee-deep water to get to the stuck car while the rain poured down.

He helps get out of the car and then carries him on his back away from the water to safety.

Scott called the rescue he recorded "amazing."
