Volunteerism during Hank Aaron week
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The volunteers from the Atlanta Braves and Delta Airlines visited a local high school to kick off Hank Aaron week.
Monday, volunteers worked to create a legacy project at Kipp Woodson Park Elementary School in Atlanta.
Volunteers repainted walls, planted flowers, and installed new lights.
Organizers said Arron wanted to connect to community as well as education.
Volunteers also worked alongside a muralist to paint an inspirational mural to honor Aaron's accomplishments both on and off the field.
