Dozens gathered at a vigil Sunday afternoon to remember one of the two men who were gunned down in a shooting inside a southwest Atlanta recording studio this past week.

Family members and friends of Jerome Blake, 28, met at the studio on Metropolitan ParkwayFamily said they will remember Blake as a loving man

"Jerome was our backbone," said Marlanna Blake, Jerome's cousin.  "If we needed anything he was there.  He made sure that we all came together as one."

Blake, according to friends and family, was an up-and-coming rap artist who would have had a promising career.

Police are looking into the possibility that an attempted robbery led to the violent confrontation.

"In the past three days, I ain't been able to do no sleeping, [be]cause I don't know what really happened to my brother," said Dontavious Blake.

The Wednesday night shooting also claimed the life Nathan Hannon, 27, of Lithonia.
