Surveillance footage from a Conyers gas station shows just how quickly a slider crime can go down.

It took a matter of seconds for a thief in Conyers to open someone else's car door at the pump, swipe the items inside, and take off.

And a surveillance camera caught the whole thing.

Nate Nicholson said he stopped at the West Avenue Shell gas station on Christmas Eve at around 1:30 in the morning.

He walked inside, leaving his car at the pump and the doors unlocked.

"I'm not thinking at looking back at my car. Who's gonna mess with this car? I don't lock it because it'll cost more to replace the windows. Simple as that," Nicholson said.

He says this car is more of a show car, which he doesn't typically leave valuables inside.

According to Nicholson, the thief definitely took something, but it's not clear what exactly was taken.
