Victims identified in deadly Gwinnett County apartment complex shooting

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police have identified two people who were killed during a triple shooting at an apartment complex in Gwinnett County early Thursday morning. 

Billy Thurman, 25, and William Thurman, 17, both of Winder, were shot to death in the laundry facility of The Park at Peachtree Apartments on Peachtree Corners Circle. Police identified the two victims as brothers and said their cousin, 27-year-old Beonka Thurman, was also injured in the shooting. 

According to police, the three victims were inside the laundry unit when someone came in and started shooting around 4 a.m. Thursday. Police said they were visiting another family member who lives at the apartment complex. 

Beonka Thurman made the 911 call after being shot in her foot. She's expected to survive. Her cousins were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators are trying to determine if the attack was random or if the victims were targeted. 

No arrests have been made at this time.
