Two Teens Honored for Saving Young Girl's Life
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - High honors for two local teens on Saturday as the young ladies were recognized for saving a drowning child at a DeKalb County pool this summer.
YMCA officials joined DeKalb County Fire-Rescue in honoring lifeguard Adrianna Hudson and volunteer Jada Buckles for their life saving efforts during a special ceremony.
Buckles and another volunteer were assisting Hudson, helping to supervise children in an outdoor swimming pool at the Wade Walker Park Family Y last June, when buckles spotted a 5-year-old girl in trouble in the water. The girls were able to perform CPR on the child and get her breathing again.
