Two Teenagers Shot After Leaving Club
ATLANTA - Two teenagers are recovering in the hospital after police said they were both shot early Sunday morning.
Officers with the Atlanta Police Department responded to a report of a person shot outside Blackout, a teen club on Metropolitan Parkway, just after midnight.
Minutes later, officers got word of a second shooting involving a teenager a short distance away.
"At this time it apepars that they are going to be related to an incident that ocurred here [at the club]," said Atlanta Police Major Lane Hagin.
The first teen was shot in the chest and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. The second suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
Investigators towed a white Ford Taurus from the scene for processing.
"I believe there was some blood evidence in it that they were looking for," said Hagin. "They just wanted to process it and be as thorough as we can be. Obviously, we have two young people shot. We want to do everything we can to solve this case as quickly as possible."
Police have not yet made any arrests in the two shootings. The two victims were 14 and 15 years old.
