Two children die in wreck
Two children died in a wreck late Friday night in Henry County. First responders responded to a serious accident with injuries on Highway 19, just south of Highway 20 around 11:00 pm.
Authorities say the driver of a 2000 GMC Siera truck ran into the back of a flatbed tow truck. A 10-year old boy and a 6-year old girl who were in the pickup died in the crash. Police are not releasing their names, but say they are from Stockbridge. Another child and the driver of the truck needed medical attention.
The accident is under investigation. At this time police don't believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
