Triple Shooting Leaves One Dead and Two Injured

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - A violent triple shooting in DeKalb County left one man dead, one man in critical condition and a teen injured.

Witnesses described the shooting as sounding like a rapid fire, war zone, rather than a neighborhood.

DeKalb County Police said the shooting happened at 11:30 Wednesday morning in the Highland Forest Apartments on Central Drive in Stone Mountain.

"Sounded like a hundred or more rounds. It may have been less than that but the way they went off it was like a little army going off," Resident Bobby Adams said.

DeKalb County Police said they found one man deceased in a car when they arrived on the scene. A second man was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital and a 14-year-old was discovered two hours after police, also shot.

Officers took three adults into custody who apparently hid the teen in Building 17. They say they have no motive for the shooting at this time.

One man was taken into custody for questioning.
