Tractor trailer fire on I-285 causing delays
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A major accident involving a tractor trailer fire was causing delays for motorists in DeKalb County Thursday.
SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene on Interstate 285 southbound before Covington Highway just before 11 a.m.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said the wreck forced three lanes to to shut down.
Traffic is backed up for several miles and GDOT was urging motorists to use alternate routes if traveling through the area.
The lanes have since reopened.
It was not immediately known if anyone was seriously injured in the wreck.
No word on the cause of the crash or any charges.
