Thieves Steal 11 Cars from Dealership

ATLANTA - Atlanta police showed FOX 5 how car thieves pulled off a heist of 11 vehicles - in less than 45 minutes. The thefts happened November 4th around 3:30 a.m.

Surveillance video shows the suspects creeping onto the Platinum Automotive dealership property on Northside Drive, and signaling others to join.

Thieves burst through the gate with one vehicle, with several cars trailing behind.

"They return within that 45-minute period of time and take multiple vehicles off the property as well," said Officer Ralph Woolfolk with Atlanta Police.

Within 45 minutes, the thieves took off with the vehicles undetected and with no one calling 911.

Officers tracked down nine of the 11 vehicles within a mile of the dealership, and said key valuable parts were missing from each one. A grey Lincoln MKZ and a blue Mazda CX9 are still missing.

Investigators said one suspect brought a stolen Dodge Charger to a nearby gas station, and was captured on surveillance video as he made a purchase inside.

"We suspect these individuals may be involved in other crimes as well," Woolfolk said.
