Thieves break into jewelry store, don't get any jewelry
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police in Atlanta wants to find the burglars who targeted a Buckhead jewelry store early Thursday morning.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. at the Aydin Jewelers in the 2900 block of Peachtree Road NE. Atlanta Police said officers responded to an alarm call and found the glass of the front door smashed. It is believed the burglars used a rock.
Police searched the area but didn’t find anyone. While the burglars got away, they didn’t get away with any jewelry since police said it was all locked up in a safe for the night.
The crooks did get away with a laptop and several bottles of liquor, police said.
