'The Office' helps man save woman's life
TUSCON, Ariz. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Watching sitcoms isn't just fun, it could also be life-changing.
A clip from an old episode of "The Office" helped an Arizona mechanic saved the life of a woman who was unconscious.
Cross Scott reportedly came to the aid of a driver who was slumped behind the wheel and not breathing.
He quickly sprung into action, imitating Steve Carrell's "Office" character singing the Bee Gees song "Staying Alive" while doing chest compressions during the show's episode on CPR training.
The song apparently has the right tempo for the life-saving procedure!
Thankfully, the procedure did work, and the woman started breathing again.
Funnily enough, Scott has the same last name as Carrell's character, Michael Scott, in the comedy TV series.
