Police in Union City made a second arrest Tuesday afternoon in the shooting death of 17-year-old boy. Chevelle Thompson, who was found shot multiple times Monday afternoon.

Isaiah Christopher Turner, 19, was booked into the Fulton County Jail late Monday night. The next afternoon, police also arrested Tre Graham, 18. Both were charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

Chevelle's mother, Denesha Thompson, said her son was a happy soul who always made people smile. Through tears, she told FOX 5 News she wouldn't wish the pain she is going through with any parent.

"The biggest fear of every mother on this wicked cruel Earth...fears of their child killed at a young age," said Thompson.

Thompson said her son was walking along Highpoint Road when someone shot him. She said people who knew him, saw him, put him in their car hoping to drive him to get help. Chevelle didn't make it. Union City Police said officers found him in the back of a car on Rock Road.

"They discovered one male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. That male did succumb to his injuries," said Officer Jerald January.

Chevelle's parents don't know who fired the shots which stole their son from them, but they know whoever did it needs to turn himself in.

"I'm asking the parents to make their child turn himself in, please, please, turn him in, this is not what they want," said Chevelle's father Rashawn Thorton.

Thompson said her life will never be the same.

"You ruined more than one life, you have taken the lives of many people who cared about this young man, as well as you and your momma and family who cares about you," said Thompson.

Investigators believe Thompson and Turner had an on-going dispute between the two, but the exact motive was not immediately clear.

The teen's family said they will hold a funeral for him on April 28 at 11 a.m. The family set up an online account to help collect donations to offset the funeral expenses. That link can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/5fcj1pc.
