Monday marked the end of a fun-filled weekend in Atlanta for a group of children who are battling cancer.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation organized a weekend full of activities in the city for teens with cancer from all over the Southeast.

They wanted the kids to get out of the hospital and connect with patients going through similar experiences.

The events ranged from a trip to Six Flags to pool parties to main event arcade to the World of Coke.

The weekend wrapped up Monday night with a Hollywood-themed farewell party at Stats Brew Pub Downtown.

Sunshine Kids representatives said they hope to turn this into a longer trip with kids from all over the U.S.
