It is the department's second police chase this week. A dashboard camera was rolling when a Duluth police officer was dragged by a driver he pulled over on Tuesday morning.
"The officer smelled marijuana in the car and tried to get the individual out of the car, but the individual was uncooperative," Major Don Woodruff said.
That officer was eventually able to free himself from the vehicle and gave chase. Police tracked the suspect's car to Gwinnett Place Mall where they said they found him hiding in a store with the help of his girlfriend.
He was arrested without incident. Major Woodruff said the suspect's girlfriend was also arrested.
