Suspected robber with tattooed face arrested in Gwinnett

Gwinnett County police have arrested a man they say held up a QuickTrip store at gunpoint last month.

Police say that 21-year-old Duluth resident Kennedy Kurtz, who has a tattoo of the number
"333" on his face, has been arrested and charged with one count of criminal attempt to commit robbery.

Police say that on Dec. 16, 2017, Kurtz demanded $300 from a store clerk at the QuickTrip at 1055 Old Peachtree Road in Lawrenceville. The employees told the suspect that they couldn't access the cash, and he left without anything, according to officials.

The suspect at the time was described by employees as around 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, and a gray-colored scarf or bandana around his neck during the time of the attempted robbery.

After the police released the description to FOX 5 and other media outlets, they say that they began receiving tips. Kurtz was arrested over the weekend during a follow-up lead.

He is currently booked in the Gwinnett County Jail.
