A suspect has been arrested after a SWAT team was called to the Roswell Pawn and Jewelry, according to police.

Officers arrived quickly to a burglary report at the Roswell Village Shopping Center around 7 a.m., and it seemed the burglars were still inside, according to Roswell Police.

"Our officers happened to be right at the intersection when the call came out so they were here quickly enough to contain the building and the suspects were still inside," Officer Lisa Holland, Roswell Police Department.

The SWAT team was called out shortly after and was able to arrest one suspect. There may be more suspects, and the investigation is still on-going, according to police.

"They are potentially looking for more. We don't know how many people were initially in there. If one got away or if there was just one person," said Officer Holland.

A neighboring store owner said the suspects caused damage to the building by trying to escape the pawn shop through the ceiling.
