Suspect identified in cross-dressing theft of McDonough MetroPCS

Police want to send a big thank you to our FOX 5 viewers for helping them track down the cross-dressing theft suspect in McDonough.

Authorities said Anthony Andre'l Spiggs, believed to be dressed as a woman, stole several iPhones from the MetroPCS store on Highway 20 West on June 20.

FOX 5 viewers sent in over thirty tips to the McDonough Police Department. 

Police said Spiggs appears to the person seen in surveillance images asking an eployee to see several iPhones. As the clerk processed the sale, the suspect grabbed the phones and fled on foot, police said.

A short time later, the MetroPCS on Hudson Bridge Road had a similar incident occur involving the same “female” suspect, police said. In this incident, the suspect was seen leaving in a gray Mercedes.
