Suspect caught robbing South Fulton store

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. - A robbery suspect was caught in the act at a store in South Fulton Thursday night. 

A City of South Fulton Police officer was pulling into the Biscayne apartments for a residential check when he was flagged down by someone leaving the Family Dollar on Old National Highway. The concerned person told the officer there was an armed man inside the story, robbing the place. 

The officer found the suspect walking out of the store with money in his hands, according to police. He was taken into custody without incident. 

The suspect confessed to robbing the store and said he did it because he's homeless and recently lost his job.
