Susan G. Komen to mark 25th anniversary of Atlanta affiliate

ATLANTA (AP) — The Susan G. Komen organization is marking the 25th anniversary of its Atlanta affiliate.

Komen said in a statement that Nancy Brinker, founder of the national Susan G. Komen organization, will help the Atlanta affiliate celebrate the milestone at a reception planned for next week in Atlanta.

The Dallas-based nonprofit that fights breast cancer recently unveiled a goal of reducing the number of breast cancer deaths in the U.S. by 50 percent in the next 10 years.
