Study: 21 percent of Georgia hospitals earn A grade in safety
ATLANTA - Some of the safest hospitals in the state are here in north Georgia. That is according to the non-profit group Leapfrog. It tracked hospital accidents, infections, and errors.
Earning an A, were 21 percent of the hospitals in Georgia.
Worth noting, some of the top-ranked hospitals are smaller like Cartersville Medical Center and Fannin Regional Hospital. Leapfrog gave them an A.
Some other hospitals earning an A grade are Wellstar Kennestone and Piedmont Atlanta.
No hospital in the state got an F but several received a D including Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, Grady Hospital, Piedmont- Rockdale, and Habersham Medical Center.
