Student collects hundreds of jars of peanut butter for food pantry

A student at Griffin, Ga.'s Carver Road Middle School is giving back to his community in a tasty way.

Middle school student Harrison Whitmore help "spread" hope by starting a campaign he named #PBDrive4Hope.

Whitmore partnered with Griffin-Spalding County School System students and employees to collect jars of peanut butter for a local food pantry.

In all, the campaign raised 700 jars to donate to Rushton's Hope Ministries.

Harrison, who is a member of State Superintendent Richard Woods' Student Advisory Council, launched the drive as a service project.
