Streetcar service suspended until sinkhole settled
ATLANTA - The streetcars usually seen on Atlanta’s Downtown district are in their houses. That’s because a sinkhole on eastbound Edgewood Avenue between Jesse Hill Drive and Bell Street.
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Streetcar said they have suspended service temporarily while emergency repairs are made. A shuttle bus is being provided to all 12 stops while repairs are being made.
The Atlanta Watershed Department believes be working on the sinkhole issue overnight into Friday morning.
Streetcar officials said normal operations should resume Friday at 6 a.m.
