Social Circle Police Help Fellow Officer Battling Cancer

SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. - A Social Circle police officer is in the fight for his life.

Officer Justin Malone was suddenly diagnosed with cancer, has undergone surgery and is now receiving chemotherapy.

Malone’s prognosis is good but now the fight includes being able to pay for his day-to-day living, medical bills and medication. To help raise money for some of those expenses, the Social Circle Police Department is hosting a fundraiser.

The “Hot Dog and Hamburger Cookout” will take place Friday from noon to 3:00 p.m. It will be held at police headquarters in Social Circle on East Hightower Trail.
